Picture Frame Wreath

Last week, I took a close look at the wreath on my front door and decided it was time for a new one. I looked, but couldn’t find one for less than 60 dollars that wasn’t Fall or Christmas. So, I thought I’d make one. I searched Pinterest for ideas and decided to jump on the Picture Fram Wreath Bandwagon.

I got all the supplies from Hobby Lobby for about 25 dollars. I didn’t even use the burlap ribbon… I’ll save that for something else.

I just arranged the flowers how I liked them and cut the bottom of the stems off.

Don’t be a dope like me and use your pruning shears to cut your artificial flower stems. I ruined them. So mad at myself.

I tied the upper stems to the frame and used the hot glue gun to make the flowers stay in place. I also rearranged some of the leaves.

It doesn’t sit real well on my wreath holder, as there’s a big gap. I pushed it all the way to the back and that helped. It’s just a wee bit wobbly.

I was originally going to use a ribbon, but everything I tried looked horrible. I did have to pad the back of the frame so it doesn’t scratch my door. And…The hook needs to be off center to keep the frame straight and centered, due to the weight of the flowers.

So, that’s my picture frame wreath. It sure is different. I can’t wait to see what my husband says… (insert eye roll) Oh, boy! Lol!
