Christmas Home Tour 2017 and Festivites

Hi All! I didn’t have the time to take pictures of all my decorations before Christmas, so I took a few before I packed them up.

Sorry about the quality. Most of the pictures were taken with my iPhone.

The front door…

I have a “Great Room” which consists of my Living and Dining Area. This is the room with no natural light. I had originally painted the room in that Tuscan orange color so it had a “sunny” and “cozy” feel. It’s actually very nice in person. It just doesn’t photograph well. Outdated? Yes! I’m well aware. I still like it and will probably leave it for a little while longer. We plan on moving to a regular single family home in the next two years, so I know I’ll have to repaint it to sell it.

The Living Area…

I wanted to add Greenery to the stockings, I just didn’t get around to it.

Onto the Dining Area…

Gnomes at The Bottom of the Stairs…

The Kitchen…

The Computer Room…

The Master Bedroom…

Now onto the Festivities!

Christmas Eve…

We must have been real good this year!

I baked Chocolate Chips and Cinnamon Crescent Cookies. You can find the recipe for my Cinnamon Crescent Cookies by clicking here. I have to make them every year.

Our Christmas Eve table setting…

Dessert…

I baked some Sugar Cookies, which turned out pretty good if I don’t say so myself. I don’t think I let the icing dry enough between colors because the noses bled a little bit. But they were delicious! I was told that I was to make these every year, in addition to the Cinnamon Crescents. OK, but next year, I’m just doing the trees and something with an easier design. The Santas were a pain in the arse. I’m not enough of an advanced baker, LOL.

Christmas Morning…

The Presents…

I was very spoiled 🙂

Hubby and I just spent a lazy day with the puppies.

Oh, and my son turned 18! I feel so old. I can’t believe I have an adult child.

I hope your Holiday was Wonderful!

Here’s the Video Tour!

Till next time!

Hi Karen, I was wondering what happened to your 2017 Christmas post? I hadn’t been able to find it. I look at your posts often for inspiration and ideas. You have such a wonderful eye for detail and I enjoy looking at them, seems we have a lot of the same taste in décor. Darlene

      Hi Darlene,

You are so kind, thank you. I have been having hosting problems with Go Daddy. It’s been a nightmare. Every year (or few years) I need to renew, and when I did this time, everything went haywire. I think I got someone who didn’t know what he was doing and screwed things up. I have many missing pictures, some posts aren’t loading at all, the site isn’t loading or is loading at a snails pace. I basically have to rebuild every single post on my blog. I hope to have things done and dusted within the next few months. I have lots of fun things to share, so I’m working as quickly as I can to get things patched up. But, your comment made me happy, so again, thank you. Stay Tuned! -Karen
