We did another road-trip to my Dad’s for Thanksgiving, but I accidentally deleted all the pictures I took on the good camera. Yes, I’m an idiot. I came home sick… Very sick. Somewhere along the way, I thought I had already uploaded them to the computer, but I guess I didn’t. At least I took some with my phone. (It’s always good to have a back up.)
While I baked cookies, Brendan decided to make himself a sandwich out of Takis. Teenagers…
We had dinner at the local Mexican Restaurant with friends.
Liesl and Beemer got into an argument over a Bully Bone, so we took Beemer to the vet to make sure he was OK. He was. The vet said we were pretty lucky. He said when these things happen, he usually has to pop an eyeball back into place. He had one earlier in the day. Sigh… Can you imagine? I can’t even.
Thanksgiving was nice, but we spent too much time cooking. Way too much time for just the five of us. You live and learn. We watched March of the Wooden Soldiers in the morning, and Christmas movies after dinner.
I tried to set a nice table. My Dad bought the Cornucopia Centerpiece, so we filled it with all sorts of goodies. The only thing I forgot to put out was the grapes. We were waiting until last-minute to put them out, so they didn’t go bad, and well…
Liesl and the rest of the puppies wanted in on the action.
The cookies I baked, are our traditional Thanksgiving cookies. My Mom used to make them every year. They bring back a lot of memories.
For dessert we used paper plates. They still look nice with the chargers underneath, and it’s so much easier to clean up. And we had a lot to clean up. Sigh…
Brendan was slumbering away in a Turkey coma, so we had to wake him up. You can probably tell.
I’m so glad we were able to be together for the holiday. We’re going back for Christmas too. I wish I hadn’t lost all my pictures, but I did take some video, so when I have time, I’ll come back and add it.
Now it’s time for Christmas fun!!!
