I made another trip out to Oklahoma. It was a short visit, just a week. I was hoping to catch some cooler weather while I was up there, but not so much. Maybe next time I’ll be luckier.
We didn’t do too much “stuff” this time. I just had a nice visit with my Step-Mom, while my Dad got some work done around the house.
This is the Ponca City Railroad Depot. It was built in 1911, renovated in 1945, and abandoned since 2000. The city is looking to work something out, so they can restore it. That would be neat!
We hit up a few antique stores around town, and stopped by the nursery. They bought some Mums and pumpkins for outside on the porch.
What an adorable fairy garden! They had it displayed in a bird bath.
We’d never been to the Pioneer Woman Museum, so we decided to check it out.
It was another teeny tiny museum. Meh…
Look, Minnie Pearl! Except her hairdo is all wrong. Lol!
It was nice to see if you’re in town, but not worth a trip.
This is an area landmark, the Schultz Stone Barn. How awesome is that? It was recently rescued from demolition, and I wonder they’ll do with the old place? I’d love to renovate it, and live in it.
We went into Oklahoma City, to take my Step-Mom to the Dr..
Afterwards, we stopped at Eskimo Joe’s for lunch.
Such a fun place!
And we had some girl time, and got our nails done.
I miss them, but I’ll be back soon!
