Hello, Gang! I’m back with the rest of my Halloween Decorations. I’m reverting back to “cute and friendly” this year. No cobwebs, bloody hand-prints, or scary pictures. If you don’t follow me, I currently own a small, ‘interior unit’ town-home. I don’t have any windows in my living/dining area, so it’s very hard to take good pictures. Sorry for the quality. But it’s cozy. And that… Is the only goal. Starting with my Living Room Area… Oh… I should mention that I’m probably the only person left on the planet who still likes color. I like my pumpkins orange! Black and White and Teal are nice in your house, but I still prefer the cute, old fashioned, vintage-style decorations.
I have some beautiful new throw blankets that I wanted to put out, but my youngest puppy, Anneke, started to tear them up. So, I had to put them away. Hopefully, she’ll grow out of this stage real soon. She’s ruined blankets, pillows, baskets, furniture handles, a few items of clothing, and more. Sigh… I’m praying.
All of the Halloween Pillows are new this year. The two pillows on the sectional (The Witch and The Cat) are from Pottery Barn. I bought them when they went on clearance last year.
I’m still loving my Annalee’s! And yes, I got them from Home Goods. The Pumpkin Head tealight holder is probably about 20 years old, from Dept 56.
That’s my girl, Liesl!
I got this throw “blanket” from Pottery Barn. I decided to buy a blanket, and a matching table-cloth square. Imagine my surprise when they arrived, and I realized that they are exactly.the.same.thing. The only thing they did was change the tags on them. It’s OK on the table, but as for a blanket… It wrinkles like crazy! The little pumpkin pillow is from Kohls.
I don’t usually keep my magazines on the coffee table, but Anneke’s chewed up all my baskets.
The tray is new from Pottery Barn, and I’m burning a Yankee Candle with a Boney Bunch lid. I know everyone is into the Bath and Body Works Candles, but to be honest, I’ve never even tried them. I guess I should probably test them out.
If you see Dust and/or Dog Hair, please know that I DID clean before I took these pictures. I’m just throwing my hands up in the air. Whatever… The fur flies in this house.
I’ve got another Boney Bunch on this end table. It lights up, and can blink if you want it to. I DON’T want it to, LOL.
The hedgehog incense burner is from Käthe Wohlfahrt.
Here’s looking towards my entertainment center, and my Fantel. (Fantel = Fake/Faux + Mantel.) Fireplaces are pretty rare in Florida.
My Annalee elves usually hang out, and help me decorate my ‘dining area’ chandelier. I’ve decided that they draw attention to my kitchen, and that’s not a good thing. So, I’ve found a new home for them on the Fantel.
The Witch Shoes are from the Victorian Trading Company, and I just stuck in some old photos from the antique store. Some of them, I altered into Witches, etc..
Again, please forgive the picture quality. It’s a very dark room, and very hard to take nice, bright, white balanced pictures.
Living in Florida, the colored leaves that the elves bring, are usually the only ones I get to see. I miss the changing seasons.
This pumpkin guy, and the black cat on the other side, are also Dept 56, from way back.
This is the little display I have tucked into the corner. The Owl and the Lantern are from Pottery Barn, and the Vase and Florals are from Home Goods.
I stuck another altered photo, and some acorns into the lantern.
Onto my Dining Area… Here you can see the identical table-cloth, and throw blanket together.
My centerpiece is pretty, but easy to move when we need to use the table. The antler tray is from Home Goods. I really wanted a dough bowl, but it wasn’t in the budget. I think I like this better. Almost. Maybe.
And onto the bar/buffet…
I made these potion bottles last year, and I love the way they turned out. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them.
I also made this little Vampire Hunter’s Journal. It didn’t come out perfect, but I really like it.
And… Even more Boney Bunch. If I had room, I’d buy them all. I LOVE them! The Haunted House is new this year.
Onto the Computer Room/Study…
I got this guy about 10 years ago from Marshall’s. I’ve seen him a few times since at Home Goods.
My sister purchased this cute light up skull for me, the first year I was married. That would be 22 years ago. Wow!
This Witch Doll doesn’t look like much, but she’s very special. My Grandmother made her for me when I was a little girl. This is only the second year I’ve displayed her.
The hearse is from Disney. Everyone has to have just a little Disney in their holiday decor. Well, Disney fans do.
More Boney Bunch…
These bookends are Ents (as in Lord of the Rings,) and they’re from the Victorian Trading Company. They’ll stay out until I need room for a different Season.
And as you already know, I’m not ashamed to decorate with stuffed animals. I think they’re cute and I don’t care what anyone says. These cuties are tucked into a traditional, plastic, trick or treat pumpkin bucket.
I have my Byers Choice Halloween Carolers in this room, this year. I’d love to grow the collection eventually, but I have enough for a little grouping. I love Byers Choice. For Christmas, I’m working on a collection of Scrooge Carolers.
On my antique typewriter are these cute little mice, also from Pottery Barn.
Finally, into the kitchen we go.
New pumpkin mugs… Also from Pottery Barn. I think I have a problem with Pottery Barn. Oh, man…
Inside my Candle Cabinet is a Witch that my Sister-in-Law brought me back from Spain, and an homage to Harry Potter.
My Halloween Tree… The Witch and Ghost came from a candy store in Simi Valley, CA, about 15 years ago, Dr. Conkey’s. A few years after I purchased them, I saw cheaper looking versions at Big Lots.
No new ornaments this year.
This platter is new. I’m not gonna tell you where I got it from because at this point, I’m a little embarrassed. Anyhoo… I bought it to keep out permanently, but I may have to rethink that. We’ll see.
More Yankee Candle…
And yes… A little bit of Mickey Mouse! Just a little… In the kitchen…
And this is Brunhilde. She’s my “Kitchen Witch,” and constant kitchen companion, all year long. My dogs are freaked out by her. Hmm???
So that’s it. I’m gonna try to make a video of the decorations and post it. We’ll see how ambitious I get.
Update: So, I attempted to make a video… Afterwards, I figured out that I’m doing it all wrong, I’m not changing it, but here it is. The next video I do, should be better.
I’m gonna go have a snack now. It’s time for Holiday Baking! I’ve pinned so many dang things with cookie dough on Pinterest, that I finally broke down and made something. Cookie Dough Brownie Squares! Yum!
Are you guys decorated yet? Did you start baking? Have a wonderfully spooky season!
