I don’t usually do a blog post dedicated to an entire store, but um… Let me introduce you to The Lamington General Store in Bedminster, New Jersey. To say “I love this store,” is an understatement.
As soon as we walked into the store, I lit up like a Christmas Tree. Antiques, crafts, jewelry, fine collectibles, paper ephemera, candles… I could hear my husband mutter “Oh, Fuck” under his breath, and Brendan immediately began to snigger.
Little Mice! OMG! The one in the tartan shoe came home with me.
Is that a gorgeous wreath or what?
More cute mice tucked into little antique pieces. Squeal! I want all the ones in the shoes. No… I want all of them!
Another fantastic wreath!
These owls are just too cool.
And Byers Choice Carolers… I will get that carriage one day.
The more I walked around and “oohed and aahed,” I could tell that Marcos was starting to sweat. At one point my joy overcame me, and I began to cackle out loud. For real… I love this store. It was at that point that I was issued a stern warning, and given a strict dollar limit. “Meanie!”
I love this! Love, love, love!
I even loved the jewelry! And that dress form!!!
Needless to say, Marcos and Brendan had to physically push me out of that store. But I’ll be back. Next time with a full wallet!
If you want to check them out, they do have a website, www.lamingtongeneralstore.com.
