Even though Summer is over, there’s still a lot of fun to be had. We started out the weekend with a trip to Sea World.

We went one way, and the boys went another. My husband and I like to see the animals and special exhibits, while the boys are only interested in the thrill rides. Typical teenagers.

I must be super sweet!

And makes you fat!!! I must be filled to the brim with sweetness, LOL.

It’s still very hot and humid down here in Florida, so we took our time and went from exhibit to exhibit.

I wanted to see the penguins, but the line was way too long. Bummer.

This gal was pulling out an egg case from the shark exhibit. I thought all sharks had live births, but some lay eggs. Neat.

My husband had the Rib Eye, I had the Chicken Portabella, and we both added Shrimp on the side.

After lunch, we stopped by to see the dolphins.

They had a good portion of the exhibit roped off, and they seemed to be doing several small training sessions. I couldn’t tell if they were training the dolphins, training new trainers, or both.

We made our way over to Turtle Trek, to see the Turtles and Manatees.

Look at the little baby! How precious.

It seems like all the turtles they have are rescues. One was caught on a fishing line, one was attacked by a shark, another was in an oil spill, and yet another is just naughty and kept eating things he shouldn’t. The turtles are my favorite.

Journey to Atlantis

We met up with the boys at Journey to Atlantis. I managed to capture them going down the drop.

Ha ha! My kid thinks he’s too cool.

They were happy when they got down to the bottom because they didn’t get soaked. Until…

Someone decided to shoot them with the water cannons. They weren’t expecting that.

My son actually looked at me like, “really, Mom!” Sorry… It wasn’t us. This time.

They didn’t get that wet. Just a little.

On the way out, we stopped to say “hello” to the Flamingos.

Yet another nice day.

While I was waiting for the boys on Journey to Atlantis, I took a few pictures of other folks going down the big drop. I’ll leave you with some of my favorites.
