Christmas Home Tour 2016

There’s not much of a Christmas Tour this year. We haven’t been home, I’ve been sick, and we’re off again, soon. I only put out a fraction of our decorations, and we didn’t even do a big tree. Truth is, it’s killing me. Sigh… But there’s no point. I’m even questioning myself for putting out the decorations that I did. (Once again, I apologize for the picture quality. I have zero windows in my living room, and it’s real hard to get a decent picture. I just didn’t have time for “perfection” this year.)

I got this wreath from Walmart with the plans of sprucing it up and replacing the ribbon, but it’ll have to wait until next year.

I found the box with my elf, so he’s back in the sleigh.

After Christmas last year, I bought a whole bunch of new pillow covers and throws from Pottery Barn. Anneke has been chewing everything in sight, so I’m only able to put out a few things. I’m praying she grows out of her chewing phase real fast!

The elves are decorating my postcard rack. I think they got tired of hanging out on the chandelier.

The sleds are usually outside at the front door, but I needed to put something in place of our Christmas Tree.

Short and Sweet… Just like this post.

I hope everyone is ready for the weekend. Today I baked, and I only have a few more things to wrap. I’m gonna try to post a few more things before Sunday, but if not… I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas!

Sending you Tidings of Comfort and Joy!

I’m starting to think about Christmas already and am looking at your posts for inspiration. I love the way you put things together so where ever you look there is something fun to see with wonderful little things tucked in wonderful little cubbies. Which brings me to a quick question, where were you able to find your Big Bin chocolate mint tin? I really like it.
P.S Will you be posting this Christmas? – Thanks Darlene

Hi Darlene! Thank you, that’s so sweet of you to say. Yes, I’m hoping to celebrate Christmas this year as I normally do, bar any family disasters. And of course, to share it with my friends on the blog. I’ve been a little behind in posting lately, but I hope to catch up soon. So many people have asked me about that Big Ben Chocolate Tin; I found it at Home Goods. My aunt was one of the people that asked about it, so last year I searched for another one, with no luck. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled this year too. I would look at Home Goods, Marshalls,TJ-Maxx and maybe Ross. I hope you’re enjoying the Fall Season so far! Have a wonderful weekend!!! -Karen

I did end up purchasing the one from Pottery Barn, and I Love it. I’ve been using it on my ottoman in front of my couch, and changing it according to the seasons. Thanks for the great idea. 🙂

Thanks Darlene! I originally purchased it to hang on the wall, but it’s extremely heavy. Heavier than the strongest platter hangers can hold. So, I’ve been experimenting with it. Mine is from Pottery Barn, but I hope you find one you love and have fun with it. Karen 🙂
