How do you surprise someone on their Birthday, in their own home? It isn’t easy… But we did it!
Audrey’s boyfriend, Joe, enlisted several of us to help pull off the surprise. While he and another couple took her out to dinner, the rest of us rallied to get the house ready.
Marcos and I picked up some balloons and flowers, and waited for Joe’s text to say they’d left the house.
Once at the house, Joe’s son let us in and we, along with several other friends, started to get things ready.
After several pre-dinner drinks, Joe’s son called to tell them that “the power went out,” and they needed to come home. (I think that was the story.)
She knew the story about the electricity sounded a little funny, but she just wasn’t sure what she’d come home to. Ha, ha.
Along with just a few of the party pictures, I’ve sprinkled in several shots of her decorating. We have very similar taste, except she lives in a big beautiful home, and I live in a
jewel box pill box, LOL. Next time I’m there, I’ll try to get a whole home tour.
This type of Christmas Tree, is called a Vienna Twig Tree. They don’t take up a lot of space, and they show off the ornaments beautifully.
I love her forest of Sisal Trees.
You can’t have just one Christmas Tree… You need at least two! Ha!
Audrey’s fur-babies are dachshunds, so you can find “doxie love” sprinkled around the house.
Audrey’s boyfriend likes to hide little pictures of the two of them, all over the house for her to find. When we were setting up for the party, I found them in drawers, behind picture frames… I think it’s so sweet!
This is her Christmas Cabinet. It actually looks like this throughout the year. Everything is too pretty to display for only a few weeks, once a year.
I love these quilled paper ornaments. Beautiful!
I love her Fall tree!
She’s been saving her corks for a long time. I just love this vignette.
Such a sweet mushy speech… Sigh…
Happy Birthday Audrey!
