When Dad and the boys flew out to Montana, my husband and I stayed back with my Step-Mom and the puppies.
My Dad’s house is pretty big. They haven’t finished decorating yet, but I’ll give you a partial tour. The Living Room and Dining Room are part of one big “Great Room.”
The puppies had a lot of accidents. Oops…
I did a little decorating… I rearranged some things, and set up the China Cabinet for them. My Step-Mom has Lewy Body Dementia, so I was happy to help. My Step-Mom has wonderful taste, but as her condition has progressed, she’s been adding tons of tchotchkes to the house. I left some out, but pared them down before the rest of the family arrived. I’m sure she’ll change things back after I leave, but I needed to baby proof for the little ones.
The puppies love Grandpa’s house.
The kitchen has a huge island and tons of storage. I’m so envious.
They have three bedrooms, but I’ll just show you the room we sleep in. I guess it’s Victorian/French Provincial?
Dad has box turtles in his yard. The puppies are fascinated.
They’re pretty cool!
And they love the huge, fenced-in backyard. This is Anneke’s first trip. If she doesn’t stop doing her business on my Dad’s rug, it’ll be her last. (Insert facepalm here.)
Meanwhile, my Dad and the boys had a great time in Montana!
I’ll share some of their trip next.
