We braved the heat on Saturday, and went to the Magic Kingdom.
My son brought his girlfriend for the first time. She hadn’t been since she was very little, so they were both excited.
We were late for an early breakfast reservation at Be Our Guest, so we headed straight there.
I have to say that this was our first time doing breakfast here, and our last. It was definitely NOT worth it, on any level. First of all, the menu is very limited and not geared towards picky eaters. Not at all. And they can’t make adjustments at this location. Second… The food itself is just meh… That’s me being nice. Lastly, it is expensive. We paid over 100 dollars for a breakfast for four people. For that price, we could have gone to a character buffet. Beast wasn’t even in residence for breakfast.
Did that look like a 100 dollars worth of food? Not to me either. Live and learn.
After breakfast we split up. My husband and I headed over to The Voyage of The Little Mermaid.
While we were splashing around under the sea, the kids blasted off to Space Mountain.
Hubby and I caught up with Daisy and Minnie Mouse, at their Storybook Circus spot.
My husband is such a goofball! He loves Minnie!
My son took his girlfriend to say “hello” to Mickey.
It was a super hot day, so we took quite a few breaks. It was sweltering.
As for me… I could spend the entire day getting lost in the fantasy of Main Street. I would love to just hang out, people watch, shop, snack on some goodies, catch a few parades… If only the barbershop gave mani/pedis. Sigh…
I love the Streetmosphere characters. I wish there was more of them, and not just on Main Street.
My husband found the Mayor walking around The Emporium.
We hit up the Ghosts and Ghoulies at the Haunted Mansion.
The kids got soaked on Splash Mountain.
My husband insisted on riding the riverboat. He wanted to do Tom Sawyer Island, but I put a kabosh on that idea. “Hello! It’s a 100 degrees in the shade.” SMH.
The kids rode the Mine Train.
Here’s a little video of the kids on the mine train. It’s so cute! Too bad you can’t get one of these for all the rides.
We stopped to see the Flag Retreat. I love that they still do this.
Then off to dinner at Tony’s!
I bought some bling to decorate my magic band, but I lost Mickey’s shoe. Oh, well. Bummer.
I just want to mention… We eat at Tony’s because my son likes it. He likes the way they make the fried calamari. In my opinion, it’s on par with high school cafeteria food, for 100x the price. Just saying.
My son surprised his girlfriend with a Mickey bracelet. He tried to put it on her wrist, but I think he was nervous, as he was having a hard time. His girlfriend thought it was funny.
They look so cute together!
After dinner, we claimed our seats for the parade and fireworks. It was thundering and lightening, so we were happy when it didn’t rain.
The Castle show was nice, but the original version was way more impressive.
And then the day was over. It’s a good thing, too. My feet were destroyed. Uggh! I still can’t walk. I think we were all ready to go. The kids didn’t even want to use their extra fast pass for another round of Space Mountain. Yeah, that’s what the heat can do. Still… It was another great day at The Magic Kingdom.
See ya real soon!
