Last weekend, we visited Disney Springs to check out the construction progress. We took a quick peek at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, and had dinner at The Lava Lounge.
They’ve made a lot of progress, but there’s still a ways to go. I don’t plan on going back until the Holidays. And a word of caution… They didn’t fill the place with tons of souvenir crap shops… It’s higher end, all the way. Bring money. Lots of it!
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is smaller than I imagined, but it’s really a neat little place. We were planning on having a few drinks there, but we couldn’t get a seat inside. They did have patio seating, with one table available, but I really wanted to go to enjoy the ambiance. At least we got to see it.
That’s the best seat in the house! I wanna hang out in there.
We spotted the “locals” posing for pictures. How awesome are they? Very Steampunkish! They have a gold couple as well. They alternate. My guys refused to wait in line for pictures. It was pretty hot, and they just weren’t having it. But this guy looked like he was having fun!
As usual, we headed for the Rainforest Cafe. It was super crowded, so this time we decided to eat at The Lava Lounge.
The Lava Lounge has a great view of the Disney Springs Water Front, and the Sassagoula River.
We had fun watching the amphicars! I can’t wait to go for a ride, myself.
It was a nice evening despite the construction, the heat, and the crowds.
I can’t wait to come back and do some Christmas Shopping! I’d better start saving now. Sigh…
