These friendly piggies on Major Cay are the descendents of shipwrecked pigs. Probably… Maybe… Regardless, they are pretty neat! I was hoping to see some piglets, but no such luck. Maybe next time. And there WILL be a next time!

These guys are Big Pigs! (Pun intended.) They have no problem knocking you over, or stepping on your toes to get a snack. Ouch!!!

The music video “Timber” by Pitbull and Ke$ha was filmed at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club, and other locations around the Exumas. You can see the sharks and the pigs! If you click here or onto the picture of Pitbull, you can check it out.

Thunderball Grotto was made famous in the James Bond movies Thunderball and Never Say Never Again, as well as the movies Splash and Into the Blue.

I just wish we were more experienced with the GoPRO camera, because these pictures don’t do it justice. It was absolutely magical in there. Like an underwater fairyland… If we only had a little more time to just hang around and play. The schools of fish, the colors, the coral, the sunbeams shining through the water… Sigh…

Exuma, The Bahamas

It was a long day, but we had one more stop…

We stopped at one of the many Sand Bars they have amongst the islands. It’s so strange to be “standing” in the middle of the ocean. It was another beautiful location.

Oh man… You gotta love my hubby! Lol!

It was a great place to find shells and other ocean treasures. I dug up this gorgeous shell. The only problem was that when I picked it up, the decomposing animal just poured out. It was pretty stinky… So of course, I took it with me anyway.

The critters just keep on coming! We relocated several scorpions during our stay.

We made many wonderful memories that day, and decided to end it on a happy note.

And as for that stinky shell…

It’s still buried in my back yard, I’m determined to get the stink out.
