The second day of vacation was more of the same. Fun in the sun!
We went to a different beach, and it was just as crowded as the private beach behind the house. Not a sole in sight, but us. Paradise…
The kids had a blast, except they were complaining about the lack of waves.
After a long swim, we went to Santana’s for lunch.
The cast and crew of “The Pirate’s of the Caribbean” ate here many times during filming.
The food was excellent! At least us adults thought so.
The picky eaters decided to wait for food until we got home.
After lunch, we went next door to Mom’s Bakery to pick up something for dessert.
We decided on Rum Cake, Regular Cake, Coconut Tarts and Coconut Clusters. Pretty much one of everything.
Before heading home, we stopped at the Grocery Store for more supplies.
The boat only comes once a week, so we had to time it right.
Once we had what we needed, we made the trip back to the house.
After a little bit of a nap, the adults decided to go out and explore a little more. The kids just wanted to hang out and relax. Seriously?! We went to yet another new beach. Again, we were alone. Or so we thought…
My husband had walked a little further down the beach, and called for us to come over. He’d met a few of the locals and wanted to introduce us.
Sea Turtles!! My sister-in-law and I were in our glory. The squeals were audible.
Looks like they’re tagged!
It was hard to say “good-bye” to our new friends, but it was getting late, and we had to get back to the kids.
Since the kids weren’t much into the Seafood at Santana’s, they had hamburgers and hot dogs…
The adults dug into the dessert, and enjoyed some cocktails.
We all went to bed a little happier, and in a sugar coma.
