A Whimsical and Cozy Christmas

Welcome to my townhome! I hope you’re enjoying the season. The theme of my Christmas décor is Cozy and Whimsical. I definitely lean towards the more traditional red and green colors.

The Living Room

We currently own a townhome which is an interior unit, so I don’t have a lot of space or a lot of natural light.  I do the best I can, with what I have. It’s not perfect. It’s not a show home. It IS wonderfully warm and cozy. Normally, my couch is full of cozy blankets that we snuggle up in, but I removed them to take the picture. I just got that reindeer pillow below, from Décor Steals. I love it.

I don’t have a fireplace, so I use the top shelf of my entertainment center as a substitute. I call it my “Fantel,” (Fake + Mantel).

And here’s our main Christmas Tree. If you’d like a closer look at all of the ornaments, you can visit an earlier post here.

I eventually want to build on my little collection of German Smokers. I like the toy peddlers.

This little collection of elves is called Kringle Hollow. I display it in my entertainment center year ‘round.

The Dining Room

My dining room is better classified as the “dining area.” The “dining room” table is a working table. It serves as a homework station, crafting table, bill paying area and everyday eating table. I’ve tried to dress it up with vignettes and displays in the past, but it doesn’t function that way. It’s easier to keep it simple.

I’m in the process of collecting Byers Choice, A Christmas Carol (Scrooge) carolers.

The elves are back again this year. They help me decorate.

This is the latest version of my fairytale tree, which has ornaments that represent characters from fantasy and fairy tales. It also has a few home-made ornaments as well.

I made little silhouettes of my son, the puppies, and each one of our nieces and nephews.

On my cubby shelf, I have some putz sheep with a few sisal trees, and I added a Christmas ball for the holiday.

This is an antique postcard that I framed. It isn’t out just for Christmas.

I have an old, tiny nativity that I keep in a small wall cabinet. And of course, I had to have a little Mickey Mouse.

I hope you enjoyed the little tour.  I can’t wait to see everyone else’s decorations.
