Our Quiet Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2014

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. It was just us three and the puppies as usual, but we had a nice, relaxing day. The good thing about being alone on Thanksgiving, or any other holiday, is that you can do what you want, when you want to do it. No rushing to get anywhere, no worries if something isn’t clean enough, or something didn’t turn out right. And, best of all… You can unzip your pants after dinner!

I had to work for a few hours in the morning, but when I got home, we watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and had a few drinks. My new favorite Fall drink is an Apple Cider “Martini.” There are a hundred different variations, but mine includes 5 oz. Apple Cider, 1 oz. Tequila, 1 oz. Grand Marnier and a splash of Triple Sec. Yum!

I always try to make everything special on the holidays, even though it’s just us. My Thanksgiving table looks pretty much the same year after year. Now that I’m more organized, I’d like to get some nice Turkey plates.

We had a nice meal, despite forgetting the cranberries and the yams. We aren’t green bean casserole people.

Gubler in a Turkey Coma

Even the puppies were in a Turkey Coma at the end of the day.

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, I’m ready for the Christmas fun to start! Are you ready?
