We spent two full days at Disneyland. Woot! The hard part was sorting through pictures on 5 different cameras. (If you see a few different outfit changes, you’ll know why.)
I forgot Disneyland has a Magic Shop. We don’t have one in Disney World. Pretty Neat!
We don’t have the movie theater either. I wish we did!
For as old as those cartoons are, they are still funny today!
You can get some great decorating ideas, and ideas for vignettes, from the displays in the shops.
And the Castle… The teeny tiny castle… My son was hysterical. Sleeping Beauty has a smaller Kingdom than Cinderella, so she doesn’t need quite as big of a castle. What else can I say?
Look who decided to drop in. Pascal!
We explored the castle…
We rode Space Mountain…
And Star Tours.
My nephew rode Dumbo for the first time, while the big kids were on line for The Matterhorn.
It’s a Small World is just a little bit different in Disneyland. Just a little…
Lilo and Stitch! Ariel! The Three Caballeros! Neat!
I personally LOVE the Disney Characters sprinkled in.
Mr. Toad! We don’t have Mr. Toad in Florida. Sigh…
We don’t have Casey Jr. either.
Of course, I made them ride in a cage. They’re animals!
We did the Tiki Room…
And yes, we got Dole Whips!
Hey… It’s Shrunken Ned!
Indiana Jones was fun… It reminded me of Dinosaur… Just not as intense. As a matter of fact, I think that was a common experience. A lot of the rides at Disneyland seem to be a lot more detailed and visually pleasing, but they are a lot less thrilling.
We had a good time on Big Thunder.
We ate at Big Thunder Ranch BBQ.
Finger lickin’ good!
We finally made it over to Pirates of the Caribbean.
The Pirates of the Caribbean ride was fantastic. I am so jealous. Pirates is probably my favorite dark ride and it is so much nicer in Disneyland. Wow!
We did the Haunted Mansion…
I explored New Orleans Square while everyone else headed over to Splash Mountain.
Club 33 must have been having a special event. I saw lots of folks wearing Club 33 shirts and many people were coming and going.
I really wanted to get my fortune read by this guy, but I had no change and no cash. Bummer. Next time.
We had dinner at the Blue Bayou.
I decided to try the Mint Julep. It was my FIRST and LAST Mint Julep, lol. It looked pretty though.
One of my biggest disappointments, was that I hardly got to spend any time in Toon Town.
The only thing we got to do was the Roger Rabbit Ride.
Two days in the Disneyland Park just wasn’t long enough to do it all, or see it all. There was lots of stuff I missed. Maybe if the park wasn’t so crowded, two days would have been enough. I’ll just have to come back next year. I was a little sad to go. I would have been a lot sadder if my feet didn’t hurt so bad.
