We spent a lot of time at the Club Lounge. It was a great place to meet before going out in the morning and when coming back to the resort in the evening. It’s very easy to grab a quick snack and a drink.
The Continental Breakfast in the morning…
It was the week before Easter and I’m guessing that a Cast Member probably made this cute little display. The “nest” was made from cornflakes.
The little kids even have their own area in the lounge.
We happened to be at the Lodge when the Cultural Liaisons were graduating. I guess it’s like the College Program, except the kids are from Africa. The Liaisons serve as animal guides, hostesses, and greeters throughout the resort. They play a big part in making your stay feel more authentic.
Look at those beautiful dresses! I wanted to ask the gal in the orange and blue for a photo but I didn’t get a chance.
How bitter sweet for them. They even threw their Mickey Ears!
Since it was so close to Easter, and we were with family, I considered this our Easter Celebration!
They even served Jelly Beans!
The day we went to the Magic Kingdom it rained, and it was VERY crowded. For me, the best part was the new Festival of Fantasy Parade. I took tons of pictures, so I’ll do a separate post on that.
Good grief! It was so hard to stay on my diet with all the goodies. My mouth was watering. I did cheat here and there, and I regret it. I guess it could have been worse.
We did a little shopping.
Every time I walk into an Arribas Bros store, I’m always drawn to the glass octopus. There’s just something about them that I love. It’s probably a Steampunk thing. Unfortunately, they are upwards of 400.00 bucks, so I’ll have to settle for a picture. I can always hope that Home Goods will have something similar at a better price.
I think my niece was eyeing up a few goodies too. She liked the Glass Dragons.
We rode a few rides.
Big Thunder Railroad…
Pirates of the Caribbean…
The park was so crowded that there was a line around the block to get into Pecos Bills. The Cast Members were actually seating people. We were just finishing lunch when it started to downpour. My poor husband, who worried we’d be kicked out into the rain because we were finished eating, sat there picking the leftovers from everyone’s plates. We probably sat there for an hour while he grazed. When the rain stopped, we had to roll him out, he was so stuffed.
After lunch, the boys headed straight to Space Mountain.
They had Fast Passes so they didn’t have to wait too long.
We sat it out and gave them our Fast Passes, so they got to go twice.
And yes, my son IS stupid enough to risk losing his phone by taking selfies. Sigh…
And of course, they had to stop in the arcade. My nephew actually won a prize out of that stupid machine.
Popcorn was the snack of choice…
Then back to the Club Lounge before getting ready for dinner…
My nephew was loving the brownies!
Two beauty-full goils!
Our waiter was great… The wine was great…
Dinner was great… The chocolate peanut cake was The. Best. Dessert. I. Ever. Had. It was so worth it, that I didn’t even feel guilty about eating it. Well, maybe just a little.
After dinner, the kids hung out together in my Sister in Law’s room. They had a room with one queen and a bunk.
Aren’t they sweet? Too bad it was only for the camera.
