Keeping it Real

So, you know how I said we’ve been organizing and putting stuff into storage… Well, when I’m working on a project, everything else seems to get neglected. It got to the point where I had to stop and do some regular maintenance and cleaning.

Welcome to my son’s room! Now, he’s not by nature messy… But he is LAZY. The following pictures are a case in point of why “Mommy and Me” blogs don’t last long. If I didn’t go into his room and clean up, he would NEVER do it! Grrr….

Do you think the kid knows what a garbage can is?

Or how to make a bed?

Oh wait! He does have a garbage bag in his room… He just doesn’t know how to use it!

I forgot to take a picture of all the dirty socks I found in the bed.

The furniture is suffocating! I must teach the boy to dust!

And onto the bathroom. Oh man, that’s an accident waiting to happen! I hope he’s careful to pay attention to what he’s doing. Otherwise, he just might be brushing his teeth with pimple cream! I can totally see it happening.

And the worst… This poor dead frog has been laying in his window sill for months. Yes, months. As much as I love frogs and have no problem handling the living, this totally skeeved me. I have been begging for Dear Husband and Son to remove it, so I can clean the window.

Obviously, my pleading fell on Deaf Ears. My husband went so far as to tell me, he looked and didn’t even see it. WHAAT??? How could you not see it? Someone needs to go back for another eye check!

So… I bit the bullet, and removed it myself. It was not fun! Sometimes when you want something done…

Anyway, it’s all clean now and no longer smells of ass and onions. I’m not even embarrassed to share this with you, because that’s life!
