We had a great time in the Royal Guest Room at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort. When you stay in this room, you are actually the guest of Princess Tiana, from the Princess and the Frog.
The room is awesome! Decorated in Royal Blue and Gold, all the Princes and Princesses are featured.
If you press the button on the side of the headboard, fireworks go off!
We were actually presented a paper copy of Princess Tiana’s welcome letter at check in.
This is a lenticular picture!
Alladin’s lamp! LOVE.
Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside, and it’s sister resort The French Quarter, are on the Sassagoula River.
They have boat rentals, bike rentals, cane pole fishing in the mornings, a great pool… And carriage rides.
Of course, we ate at Boatwrights.
Unless my son is in the parks, riding the rides, he’s bored. I just ignore him and order myself another drink.
The puppies love to come to Disney too! They have fun at the Best Friends Pet Kennel. It’s right across the street from the Riversid
We usually take the time to visit them, so they can have some fun in the dog park.
If you stay at the Riverside, you HAVE to stop by the River Roost Lounge and listen to Yeehaw Bob. He’s a Disney staple. The kids love him, the adults love him… He’s lot’s of fun.
Any excuse for more drinks and snacks. It’s vacation, so it’s ok.
And, a must do for us is Sassagoula Floatworks at the French Quarter. The Riverside has a very nice food court, but I love the atmosphere of The Floatworks.
I LOVE the beignets!
Staying at a different resort, every time we go, is half the fun…
And we always have fun!
