We were just out in California for my Sister’s wedding.

We took the kids to Magic Mountain…

And then we went to Las Vegas. Woot!

We stayed at the Venetian. It’s a gorgeous hotel!

While we were there, we decided to visit Acrylic Aquariums from Tanked. There wasn’t much to see.

Tanked

Tanked

There was a tiny little store, which I think was quickly thrown together for the benefit of the tourists. I’m not sure anyone would want to buy anything from there, lol. Seriously. Nothing.

Tanked

I thought they might have some aquariums on display, but this was basically it. YAWN!

Tanked

Off to the side, there are some windows that allow you to see inside. It’s not to the actual warehouse. I think this is another area staged for the tourists.

Tanked

Do you remember the School Bus Aquarium? It’s parked outside the front of the building… Empty. No Aquarium.

Tanked

It needed a good washing!

We then decided to check out the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop from Pawn Stars.

Pawn Stars

Pawn Stars

It isn’t located in the best part of town, and there was a long line of fellow dorks reality show enthusiasts waiting to get in.

Pawn Stars

There was a guy by the door letting a few of us in at a time.

Pawn Stars

It looks nothing like it does on TV. Nothing. Maybe they change things around when they are filming to make it look nicer. They wouldn’t allow you to take any pictures in the direction of the actual selling/buying area/desk.

Pawn Stars

Now, I don’t know how this pawn store compares to others, but in my opinion… It was just a bunch of junk for sale at jacked up prices. Something you might find at a flea market for 5 bucks would be 150 bucks here. I guess that extra 145 bucks gives you bragging rights and allows you to say you bought it from the “Pawn Stars.” I took pictures of the best stuff.

On one hand, I’m glad we decided to visit both locations, as it was interesting to see the difference between real life and television. On the other hand, I can’t believe I wasted precious gambling time.
