New Feathered Friends

We had some new friends stop by for dinner tonight.

Feathered Friends

Liesl and Gubler were very excited! We’ve never had a visit from white ducks before and the puppies just didn’t know what to make of them.

Feathered Friends

Mama Duck, who was tending to her babies, didn’t seem to like the fact that I was feeding the newcomers. She quickly swam over to give me a piece of her mind.

Feathered Friends

I reassured her that there was plenty of bread to go around and she relented… I bet you didn’t know that I could speak duck. Neither did I… Until tonight… Winking smile

Feathered Friends

My two new friends were such sweeties. They definitely weren’t shy…They nipped at my toes when they thought I wasn’t feeding them fast enough. I didn’t mind… It didn’t hurt Smile

Feathered Friends

They looked to be fully grown, but I’m pretty sure they were very young. They still had tons of fine, yellow baby down and lots of new pin feathers.

Feathered Friends

They really were gorgeous. I hope they come back to see me again.

Feathered FriendsUpdate!

I think the white ducks are here to stay. I just love having them around.

Your momma duck looks just like my Dilly. I envy your pond. I would love to walk down to my own pond and feed the ducks.Traci

Oh my goodness, they are pretty. I spend a lot of money feeding wild birds and hummers. But I enjoy them so much. Have fun! ♥olive

Well as long as they came for dinner and weren't dinner! They are so cute, but I bet they will get bigger.I am sure they will be back for more food.
