Moss Covered Initial

I jumped on the bandwagon and made my own version of the moss covered initial “wreath.” It was super easy, but super messy.

I think it cost me about 10 dollars, with discounts and coupons, to buy all the supplies from Michaels. I originally wanted to make a larger version, but the only other “B” that I liked was huge, and while that would have been good for the front door, I want to hang my B over a mirror inside.

I just positioned a piece of moss over a section of the B and hot glued it in place. I think the key to this project is to use a lot of glue and press it very firmly in place so that the letter keeps it’s shape.

Just keep going until you have the entire letter covered. If you missed any spots, just add a dab of glue and cover the spot with a small piece of moss. When you’re finished, trim any straggly, “fly away” pieces with scissors.

Next… Clean up the huge mess!

I’m pretty happy with the way it came out. Now I just have to hang it up.

I love it! I'm slighlty afraid to mess with moss because of the mess 🙂 Your B turned out great. Found you through the Newbie Party, I'm your newest follower.
