Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treating

Halloween is over. I’m sad to say that it was a big disappointment this year. Trick or Treating was close to a bust. It seems nobody was in the mood. Last year, house after house was beautifully decorated and the lights were on and the candy was flowing. This year, it was block after block of darkness. Most houses didn’t even have a pumpkin in the doorway. I just can’t believe the change from last year. Is it the economy taking it’s toll on my area? Is it because it’s a Sunday night?  It was very sad.

Trick or Treating

When I was growing up in New Jersey, we would trick or treat from three in the afternoon until ten at night. If it was a school day we started trick or treating on the way home. Times are changing and I’m afraid Halloween is changing for the worst. Sigh…

At least I have Christmas to look forward to 🙂

P.S. Please don’t tell my son I made him look like a girl. Sigh… I guess I’m not a very good makeup artist. Good grief!
