It Doesn’t Feel Like Fall

It is still sooo hot down here in Florida, but I managed to “decorate” the front of the house this afternoon. I was only outside minutes before I started sweating buckets, and I wasn’t doing anything but transferring some mums into pots. I just hope they can survive the heat until it’s time for Christmas.

It's Fall!

Nothing fancy, we’re really pinching pennies and prioritizing, so except for the flowers, there’s nothing new.

It's Fall!

So, just some mums, a wreath and a couple of pumpkins from Target. I think half the people in my neighborhood have those pumpkins, lol.  I don’t mind that they’re a little cheesy because they won’t rot in the Florida heat. They’ll do. I would like to have a nicer display… Maybe next year.

It's Fall!

I used the Martha Stewart Mice in the Windows. I think they’re really meant to be used on stairs, but mine are carpeted, so I put them in the windows instead.

It's Fall!

And a little ghost, also from Target, upstairs.

It's Fall!

Considering it’s Florida, I feel fortunate to have this little tree in my front yard. At least it’s changing color and providing me with some acorns.

It's Fall!

I finished just in time for the afternoon storm. I wouldn’t mind if it stayed dark and gloomy now through New Years. At least it would feel seasonal and remind me of living up North. Fall is the season I miss the most.

It's Fall!

Well, I’m suddenly in the mood to go snuggle up and read a good book. I’m working on the Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. So far, so good. We’ll see how far I get before I fall asleep.

That looks very nice. I love the mice in the window. I just put some MS templates on a picture in the dining room. I didn't think I would like it, but I did. It was super easy and I had all of the supplies.Sherry
